Boltek optimizes a short-range EFM-100 Lightening detector that is used for alerting of nearby thunderstorms (up to 24 miles/38 km away) and also has the ability to detect high electric-field conditions which precede the first lightning strike. For close lightning strikes the EFM-100’s accuracy is unsurpassed.
The long-range lightening detectors are helpful for advance planning, and can track and display lightning storms in real time on a PC or laptop up to 300 miles away.

Short Range Alerting:
For complete short range detection, our hassle free kits provide all the necessary components to setup a lightning detection system and take the guess work out of selecting the appropriate accessories. The Boltek kits come complete with everything to get you up and running right away without having to purchase any extra accessories.
The EFM-100 kit comes complete with a high accuracy short range detector, inverted mounting hardware, cables and adapters. It is designed to provide a real time reading of the electrical field in the atmosphere with a time vs e-field graph displayed on a computer along with lightning strike distances accurate to within one mile.
The ERL-10 Programmable Output Relay Module Kit comes complete with lightning detector(s), cables and inverted mounting hardware for the EFM-100. It is ideal for setups looking to connect external devices for either a visual or audible alert system. It can also be setup to connect to a PLC or datalogger. The ERL-10 output data by default is through a USB connection or a RS485 adapter can be connected easily for longer connections.
Long Range Storm tracking:
Long-range lightning detectors are helpful in advance planning. The LD-250 and LD-350 are suitable for both desktop and laptop computers. The LD-250 can be used for mobile detection while storm chasing. The LD-350 can be used as a stand-alone lightning network detector. The LRX-1 lightning network receiver is used for covering large areas with high accuracy detection by setting up multiple detectors that transmit data back to a server over the internet.

Ranging from plug and play options to individual alerting devices, our selection of inhouse assembled and designed Alerting Equipment will ensure no change in lightning status is missed or can be ignored by staff or members of the public. All Boltek Alerting Equipment comes ready to use, pre-wired, and tested to ensure proper functionality.
Each of the Boltek Alerting Devices are specially designed for specific purposes, our range of SL-180 LED Stacklights are designed for 360 degree field of view in environments with training to ensure staff see and understand the given alert status, our range of BOLT LED Signs are designed for use with untrained individuals, members of the public, or similar others in mind; with its lightning Bolt LED matrix it is unmistakably a lightning alert sign and will stand out in any environment.
Our range of indoor alerting equipment includes our BOLT-180 Indoor Bolt Sign, and our SL-70 Indoor Stacklight each offer their own special benefits. The Boltek SL-70 LED Stacklight is a small package, modular, low power indoor alerting solution, allowing for special customizations to serve specific needs. The BOLT-180 Indoor LED Sign is a low profile, low power indoor alerting solution, allowing for an optional indoor speaker, connected directly to the sign to update indoor staff, members of the public, or customers to changing outdoor situations.
Sensors:
Boltek lightning sensors come with all the basic hardware and software required for monitoring live lightning data right away. The short range EFM-100 sensor can easily be run along side the long range sensors (StormPCI, LD-250, and LD-350) for high accuracy short range detection with the ability to track storm movement for more advanced planning.
